1982-First mission country for Operation Smile, Inc.
Operation Smile Philippines had another busy year, treating 992 children and young adults during its local and international missions. The Foundation also sent 27 medical volunteers to participate in nine international missions outside of the Philippines during the period. In preparation for the 25th anniversary celebration, Operation Smile Philippines has moved to strengthen its organization, inviting new people to join its board of trustees, building new partnerships with local government units, private businesses, civic and professional organizations and non-governmental organizations.
